RAGW was set up in the Autumn of 2005 by a small group of Arabian horse lovers from various backgrounds, who have a range of experience of organising and competing in ridden events.
In 2007 we affiliated to British Riding Clubs, giving many extra benefits to our members, we are one of only 3 breed specific clubs in the whole of the BRC membership.
We hold ridden events across various disciplines through the spring, summer and autumn and talks of interest through the winter months.
We award RAGW rosettes at many Local and County level shows throughout Wales to the highest placed ridden pure and partbred Arab, which culminates in an overall ridden championship
We also run a points scheme which runs from April to March each year, points are awarded in all disciplines so you don’t need a show horse to participate.
Though we do hold competitive events our main ethos is to enjoy our lovely horses together.
Membership at present is £12.00 per year including a Points card and entry to the Points Scheme. You will also receive a regular newsletter and reduced entry fees at events.

February Talk: Keeping Your Horse Happy & Sound
Phillipa Hughes and Lisa Durham gave an informative talk on helping to ensure your horse stays fit and sound throughout the season, whatever discipline you take part in.
There was an opporturnity to ask both Vets questions and everyone present felt they had learned a lot from the evening.

Presentation Night
An entertaining night was had by all at our recent Presentation Night. Senior Points Champion was Harry Adshead with Sealeah Myrandah, Senior Reserve Points Champion was Lisa Durham also with Sealeah Myrandah, Junior Points Champion was Georgia Wood with Chasecroft Dimple.

Winter Talks
We are already planning our winter talk series and hope to include talks from breeders of arabian performance horses, a talk on worming ( this could be quite different from the norm, more details soon ) and a talk from a feed company.
